They always provide friendly service, and thorough maintenance and the last time I was there, they changed my oil and rotated my tires in about 30 minutes.

Hi Bonnie, Thank you. We appropriate the confidence you have in us.

With a really far daily commute that started a year ago, I bought a new car and sidelined the car I’ve used since I first started driving. This car sits a lot, but is in fairly good condition overall and I want to keep it running. When I moved the car to another parking spot one night, the power steering seized up and I noticed power steering fluid all over the road. I was also having some startup issues. I searched around for a new mechanic, as I have had many bad mechanics in Baltimore over the past 7 years living here, and I came across Paul’s Automotive. After talking to Paul for the first time, I could tell he was laid back, detail-oriented, patient, and would probably do good work on the car. I had the car towed to his shop and he called me every step of the way, sent me pictures of the issues, and made sure to explain every issue in depth and give me some time to think about the repair costs. He also made a point to come out and look under the hood with me after the repairs to show me where the fixed parts were located. He also called to follow-up on how the car was doing. I spent more money than I wanted to going in, but the repairs made sense in the context of the car's symptoms and were definitely done carefully and thoughtfully as the car is running much better now. I will definitely go back to Paul the next time my car needs some work and I also recommended him to some of my friends who have had trouble finding a good mechanic in Baltimore.

Thank you David for the kind words! We really appreciate it and hope to see you in the future but under better circumstances.

Paul and his staff are true professionals. I have been going to Paul for years and recommend that if you decide to keep your car long term after warranty to take it to him. He is thorough, patient, professional, and always explains things in a way you can understand. He will be honest with you about what needs to be done right away and what can wait. He or his staff test drive every car they service even if it's just an oil change. That's how he can stay on top of any possible future issues. For people who say he charged too much, what I can say is he's thorough which means you may pay a little more because he's looking at everything and perhaps suggesting something you didn't originally take it in for. By having it addressed early, you avoid having a more serious problem or breakdown later. That's worth it to me. I learned this lesson the hard way. Plus, I never have to wait a long time. In every case except one (when he was waiting for parts) I got my car back the same day. So, no it's not as convenient as Jiffy Lube (which is not inexpensive by the way), but for the little minor, minor inconvenience of having to drop the car off for the day, it's totally totally worth it in the long run.

Thank you so much Caroline! We really apprecaite your kind words.

I've been a long term customer of Paul's Automotive. I very much appreciate the time Paul puts into explaining the different repairs that need fixed. My car (which is 15 years old now) always receives excellent service from them. They know how much I love this car and want to keep it on the road, but by the same token, they give me appropriate advice about the long term so that I can weigh my decision and consider repair costs, what I'll get out of the repair, what the expectations are for my car's performance, etc. It feels like they support me in making the best decision for me.

I had my 2010 GNC Acadia towed from Ruxton Automotive to Paul’s Automotive after being given a diagnosis that required a new engin (rebuilt) for $7,500 “more or less”. Paul’s Automotive provided a detailed diagnosis—-it needed a new timing chain (expensive), but I was able to save $3,000. Paul listens, his customer service and attention to detail is amazing. If you want a mechanic for life, Paul’s is it.

Great experience. Came to Paul with some possibly very complicated issues on a fairly modified work truck. Thorough and logical troubleshooting process and great communication the whole way. Very detailed and totally transparent estimate and diagnosis process, lots of pictures and documentation to show you how they work through it and all the steps involved with getting you back on the road and working again. A crucial factor for small business, excellent service and invaluable info on things to keep an eye on, for avoiding future issues and solving bigger problems before they start A++
